What we look after.

Supply, installation, servicing and repairs for shops, bars, restaurants, farms and hotels.

How a cold room works: a condensing unit outside is piped to an evaporator inside an insulated room+3°C1234
01

Cold rooms, built to size

Insulated panels make the room. A refrigeration system keeps it at the temperature you need, chilled or frozen.

  1. 1Condensing unit outside removes the heat
  2. 2Refrigerant pipes
  3. 3Evaporator inside chills the air
  4. 4Insulated panels and door hold the temperature

Good to knowChillers usually run between 0 and 5°C, and freezers at around −18 to −22°C

Cellar and bottle cooling: a cellar cooler keeps kegs at around 12°C and a bottle cooler chills drinks behind the bar12°C3°C1234
02

Cellar & bottle coolers

A cellar cooler keeps kegs at a steady temperature, and bottle coolers keep drinks cold behind the bar.

  1. 1Condensing unit outside
  2. 2Cellar cooler on the cellar wall
  3. 3Kegs, with beer lines up to the taps
  4. 4Back-bar bottle cooler

Good to knowCellars are usually kept around 11 to 13°C. A steady temperature means better pints and less waste

Commercial fridges: an upright display fridge, a chest freezer and a blast chiller−18°+3°C−20°CFast123
03

Commercial fridges & freezers

Display fridges, chest freezers and blast chillers, serviced and kept at the right temperature.

  1. 1Upright display fridges and bottle chillers
  2. 2Chest and ice cream freezers
  3. 3Blast chillers and freezers that bring hot food down fast

Good to knowBlast chillers cool cooked food quickly through the danger zone, which matters for food safety

Refrigeration breakdowns: a fridge warms up, we come out, and it is back to temperature12°C3°C123

Refrigeration breakdowns

When a fridge, freezer or cold room stops cooling, every hour counts. Call us and we'll get out to you fast.

  1. 1Something stops cooling, so you call us
  2. 2We come out and find the fault
  3. 3Fixed and back to temperature, stock saved

While you waitKeep the door shut and move what you can into a working unit

Worth knowing.

Did you know?

Most breakdowns are preventable

Dirty condenser coils, worn door seals and iced-up evaporators cause most call-outs. A regular service catches them early.

Did you know?

Size matters

A cold room sized to your stock and door traffic costs less to run and holds temperature better.
